Editorial Policy

Editorials represent the views of the majority of the editorial board.

Columns, op-eds and letters written in this paper, excluding editorials, are solely those of the writers and do not necessarily represent the views of The Oracle, its staff members, the campus community and university or the town of New Paltz.

Letters Policy

The Oracle provides a forum for members of the campus and local community to express their views publicly. The Oracle welcomes all letters to the editor but there is no guarantee of publication. It is ultimately the discretion of the editor-in-chief. We reserve the right to edit all letters for length. Letters that are malicious or libelous will not be published. All letters should be no more than 250 words and must include a name and telephone number. Letters to the editor must be submitted via e-mail.
