Copy Couch Recommends: Fortnite Battle Royale

Fortnite: Battle Royale has become one of the biggest video games on the market in recent months, and rightfully so.

You may be asking, what is it about this game that makes it so noteworthy? Fortnite simply has the ability to tug at your adrenaline like a pit bull tugs at its leash. The game’s most popular “Battle Royale” mode features an expansive map, in which 100 players all must jump off of a flying bus to their desired destinations. Once landed, users can gather resources, build forts, fight off other players and stay away from a life threatening storm that covers the map as the game progresses, all in hopes of being the last one standing.

With a huge map, there is much more downtime compared to similar games to collect guns, ammunition and health packs instead of fighting others (unless you’re a confrontational type of player.) This makes every battle that much more exciting.

You could be in the attic of a house, collecting items and minding your own business. Out of nowhere you hear faint footsteps in the distance. You don’t know where they’re coming from but they’re getting closer. You hear a door open. You hear some movement downstairs. You don’t know where to go or what to do. Oh no, he’s coming up the stairs! You’re sweating profusely. There he is! There he is! Get ‘em!

These are the situations that draw players back again and again and again. So what if you die? Just press the back button and get to a new game in less than 30 seconds. If you survive, you embrace the feel good sensation, and take all the resources from the fallen player.

The game brings people together; walk into a couple college apartments and you’ll see a group circled around the TV rooting for whoever’s playing. Fortnite features duo and group modes as well, allowing users to play with friends.

Let me tell you, this game can get interesting. Even the most casual of video game players can get to into this game when playing with their pals, and might even start yelling out some sort of military jargon.

So if you’re down for an exciting, good time, download Fortnite today!
