They’ve tried to tame us. They’ve tried to control us. They’ve tried to give us an entire month dedicated to feminism to distract us from the blatant sexism that still exists in day-to-day life. But it’s not enough. We’re still angry. We’re still unheard. We’re still told to hide our nipples in public. And on top of all that, the ones of us that do break away from the norm are treated as outcasts and disregarded in the narrative. Well, in honor of Women’s History Month, I figured that it was the perfect time to highlight those hardcore, punk-rock females who were ignored for too long in the male-dominated music industry.
