Valentine’s Day: the holiday you either celebrate or loathe (with no in between). I am sorry for this collection of love songs to the ones who will be loathing it this year. Even if you are not dating someone this Feb. 14, maybe you could relate some of these to a friend or family member. Maybe! I like to think of love songs as ones that I can interpret widely. Some songs may be insanely sad to some people, but there could be a line that I think is happy. I tried to not do this for this playlist because that would probably be really confusing but the interpretation part still applies. Some of these songs feel very airy and summery while some are more synth-pop. I’ve pulled songs like Kacey Musgraves’ “Golden Hour” from the love-fueled album of the same name to Taylor Swift’s “You Are In Love,” which may just be my favorite love song of all time. To make it better, one of them is even called “Valentine.” Here are my top ten favorite love songs of all time. Happy Valentine’s Day!
“Golden Hour” by Kacey Musgraves
“Love You for a Long Time” by Maggie Rogers
“You Are In Love” by Taylor Swift
