What’s your instrument of choice and why?
Voice. I was a very vocal kid and was encouraged by my family and teachers to develop my voice.What are you involved with musically?
I am a member of both the Absolut A Cappella group and the Sexy Pitches on campus. I also am involved in Miami’s “Little Shop of Horrors.” Off campus, I sometimes participate in Clearwater’s Power Of Song.
Who are your biggest influences?
My mom. She’s an artist and has always supported my creative side. I attribute most of my positive attitude and enthusiasm for life to her.
Who have you been listening to lately?
Dr. Dog. The Head and The Heart. Amy Winehouse. Kate Nash.
What’s your plan for the future?
I plan to graduate from NP with a degree in performance. I am currently pursuing an internship at a recording studio in L.A., and would love to at some point be a performer on a cruise line.
Any advice for aspiring musicians?
Play with as many different types of musicians as possible and listen to all the music you can get your hands on.
