Major: Public Relations

My voice. I figured out I could sing when I was in fifth grade. Whenever I sing, it makes me feel confident. I’m also trying to learn the ukulele.

What are you involved with musically?

I’m in The Sexy Pitches and I was in

“Urinetown” with The Miami Theatre Players. I’m also in vocal chamber jazz ensemble.

Who are your biggest influences?

Joss Stone, Christina Aguilera, Aretha Franklin, Mariah Carey and Beyoncé.

Who have you been listening to lately?

Allen Stone, Iggy Azalea and Ariana Grande.

What’s your plan for the future?

I’d like to work in an art-based Public Relations firm and I’d like to keep singing either professionally or on the side.

Any advice for aspiring musicians?

Just remember that the reason you work on music is because you love it and it makes you happy. Don’t ever lose sight of that, otherwise it’s going to be considered work and music should never be work.
