Just over one year ago we lost a cherished member of our family. On January 23rd, 2024 Ray was struck and killed in a vehicular accident on his way home from class. To say things have not been the same since we lost him would be an understatement. Ray was the kindest, most enthusiastic, most enjoyable player to be around. He brought something to the team that nobody else could. His countless stories and out-of-pocket comments always had us rolling with laughter. Not only was he amazing off of the field, but on the field he was the most committed player we have ever known. He was constantly striving to be better and worked harder than anyone to help his teammates out. Every day he would text the team how many push-ups he did that morning, the number climbing each time. After Ray’s passing, we were touched by the seemingly infinite stories of how he impacted everyone’s lives. He lived his life in a way that he has been remembered only for the joy he brought us and the commitment he had. We leave you with Ray’s final words in our team group chat, GRIND NEVER STOP.
