Annie Yu: How did you find yourself at SUNY New Paltz?
Theresa Kilmer: I was the retail supervisor for Sodexo at Marist College. I worked for SUNY New Paltz at Camp Rockill for the summer in 2009 and 2010.
AY: What is your favorite thing about your job?
TK: I like to oversee the different shops. I’ve been with Jazzman’s as supervisor for six years. I like to deal with customer service.
AY: What is your favorite thing to eat or drink at Jazzman’s?
TK: I like the caramel latte and the assorted baked goods that we have here that are baked on the premises.
AY: With the holidays coming up, is there anything you’re particularly excited about?
TK: I’m looking forward to the possibility of my daughter, Corporal Colleen Welsh [who is stationed] in Frankfurt, Germany, coming home Also, spending the holiday with friends and family.
AY: Any resolutions for the new year?
TK: (Whispers.) To quit smoking.
AY:If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would you be and why?
TK: I would love to be in Frankfurt, Germany with my daughter. We have a very close relationship and I love her very much.
AY: Anything else you want to say to the students at SUNY New Paltz?
TK: We enjoy having them and their business and we enjoy having them work with us. We know most of the students by name. We thank you for being a part of our team. Also, if everyone could say a prayer for our soldiers, please do, so that they come home safely.
