A Playlist For … Aquarius Autumn

As an Aquarius, I don’t handle change well. It feels like each week of this semester has been filled with new characters, plotlines and quirks along the way, with no time to sit back and take in the scenery. Ferris Bueller’s iconic quote is ominously ringing through my ears; “life moves pretty fast. If you don’t stop to look around once in a while, you could miss it.” This moment of reflection is in perfect timing with the ending of another year. 2023 is just about over, signaling the release of “Spotify Wrapped,” the long awaited event in most music lovers’ lives. As I eagerly wait for my top 100 songs of the year, I’ve been replaying songs that have kept me going the last few weeks. Music is the one thing that keeps me sane in this world of chaos and this slew of tunes is sure to help with the stress of constant change.

1. I Know It’s Over — The Smiths

2.  (Nice Dream) — Radiohead

3. For No One — The Beatles

4. Across the Universe — Fiona Apple

5. Ode to the Mets — The Strokes

6. Femme Fatale — The Velvet Underground

7. Peace Frog — The Doors

8. Heroes and Villains — The Beach Boys

 9. Love song — Lana Del Rey

 10.  Brain Damage — Pink Floyd
