Description: Darkside Records, as its name implies, is a record store alongside the Dutchess Turnpike. When you step inside, the first thing you’ll notice is its vibrant black and green color scheme. It’s a very cool atmosphere, giving the store a laid-back, noir-ish vibe. The next thing you notice is its rows upon rows of vinyl records and CDs covering just about every square inch of the shop. That’s not all; they sell posters, t-shirts, cassette tapes, audio-equipment and all kinds of merchandise for any music lover. To top it all off, the store often hosts live music and other music-related events.

How to Get There: Darkside is located right across the river. Go across the Mid-Hudson Bridge and get onto the East-West Arterial and then onto Rt. 44. You’ll have to bang a U-turn to get on the side of the road Darkside is located on.
